Two men have been arrested in Ohio County while deputies were serving a warrant and located nearly three grams of methamphetamine with assistance from a K-9 officer.
On Friday night at approximately 9:15, Ohio County deputies arrived at a home on Fredericka Street in Fordsville to serve a warrant on 30-year-old Joshua Roach, of Fordsville.
Upon arriving at the residence, police found Roach and 29-year-old Lucas Wilson, of Olaton, hiding in a nearby wooded area, according to Ohio County Sheriff Adam Wright. During a search of Roach, deputies found methamphetamine.
Police then deployed K-9 Officer Egon around Wilson’s truck, Wright said, with the drug dog alerting on the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. During a subsequent search, deputies found 2.8 grams of methamphetamine and needles along with other drug paraphernalia.
Both suspects were charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Wilson was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia while Roach was served with an outstanding warrant.
They were lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
