Multiple agencies responded to a single-vehicle crash near the 118-mile marker of the Western Kentucky Parkway Sunday evening at approximately 5:35.

Kentucky State Police, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Clarkson Fire Department, Grayson County Emergency Management, and EMS responded to the crash and found that the driver of a westbound Toyota Camry got two tires into the gravel part of the median. As the vehicle left the median it turned sideways and slid off the roadway, according to tire marks at the scene.

The car was apparently airborne for about 15 feet as it traveled down an embankment and bounced off a tree before hitting another embankment and coming to rest facing east.

In addition to Grayson County EMS, an ambulance from Hardin County EMS responded (one local on-duty EMS crew was not in the county at the time of the accident), and four people suffering from various injuries, including a female with a head injury, were transported to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center. The injured occupants are not from Grayson County.

Kentucky State Police Sgt. Blake Owens lead the investigation and was assisted by Grayson County Deputy Caleb Owens.
