Grayson County’s Kaylee Jessie finishes as region runner-up in pair of events

The Grayson County High School track and field team added two more regional runner-up finishes on Monday evening.

Kaylee Jessie finished second in both the long jump and triple jump in the competition at Meade County.

She joins Amelia Hayes who placed second in the pole vault late last week. 

Alexis Henderson came in third in both the 100 and 300m hurdles while Emilee Hall was fifth in the discus.

On the boys side, Brack Allen finished sixth in the 300m hurdles and Lane Beasley got sixth in the high jump.

Jessie and Hayes will now advance to the state championship on June 1 at the University of Kentucky.

Additionally, Grayson County’s Keilan Hayes will compete in the pole vault at the KTCCCA middle school state on Saturday.
