A former western Kentucky Chamber of Commerce president has been accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the organization.

According to the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office, Allison Morris, 47, of Graves County, was indicted by a Graves County Grand Jury earlier this week for theft by unlawful taking or disposition (more than $10,000, less than $1 million), a class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison.

She resigned her position as the Mayfield/Graves County Chamber of Commerce president in February.

Officials have not released how much money Morris is accused of stealing.

Kentucky State Police led the investigation.
