Hillard Gene Woosley, age 83, of Leitchfield, KY passed away Monday, (May 20, 2024) at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on February 02, 1941 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Jack and Cuba Nash Woosley.
A veteran of the US Army, Hillard was a loan officer and former Vice-President of Wilson & Muir Bank, where he worked until his retirement. A lifelong UK Basketball fan, he who enjoyed fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Shrewsbury Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret Coats Woosley of Leitchfield; a daughter, Lisa Lynn Woosley and a son, Scott Woosley (Cheri), both of Leitchfield; five grandchildren, Jameson, Sara, Hillary, Rachael & Sami; and six great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Benjamin, Kinsley, Brycen, Brilynn & Barren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (May 25, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Mickey Coates will be officiating. Burial will be in the Shrewsbury Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
