
James F. Miller, age 86, of Clarkson, passed away, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born December 9, 1937, in Grayson County, to the late Taft and Amy Williams Miller.
He was a former dairy farmer and a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed raising a big garden and sharing vegetables with his family and neighbors. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deirdre Powell.
James is survived by his wife of 66 years, Josephine Kessinger Miller; a daughter, Debbie (Earl) King; a son-in-law, Kevin Powell; four grandchildren, Savannah (Chad), Laressa, Levi and Lakenzie; four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Mason, Tait and Rhett; a sister, Thelma Logsdon and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM (CST), Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the New Lone Oak Cemtery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 PM, Saturday and from 10 AM to 1:30 PM, Sunday at Rogers Funeral Home in Clarkson.
