A woman was arrested only minutes after committing an armed robbery in Elizabethtown.

Elizabethtown Police Department spokesman Chris Denham said that approximately 12:40 Tuesday afternoon, officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at Little Caesars Pizza at 1512 North Dixie Avenue.

Denham said the suspect, 34-year-old Shelli Lynn Davis, of Louisville, entered the business, brandished a knife and demanded cash.

“After the completion of the robbery, Davis fled the area on foot,” Denham stated.

Within 15 minutes of police being alerted about the robbery, Davis was found and arrested.

The investigation, according to Denham, showed that Davis, prior to robbing the pizza restaurant, attempted to rob a Dollar General store adjacent to Little Caesars Pizza.

Davis was charged with two counts of armed robbery and lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $20,000 cash bond.

According to online records, Davis was arrested in Elizabethtown on a public intoxication charge on Sunday.
