A woman arrested multiple times on drug trafficking, burglary and other charges has been nabbed with a large amount of methamphetamine in Ohio County.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office said that deputies were at a residence in the 500 block of Magan Road, about five miles west of Fordsville, “attempting to serve process” when a Nissan Versa pulled into the driveway.
Deputies approached the vehicle to speak with the driver and detected the “strong presence of marijuana.”
During a search of the car and its occupants, deputies found on a passenger, 45-year-old Crystal C. Fuqua, of Fordsville, multiple types of “narcotic medications” in various zip lock bags and other containers. Police also found 15.6 grams of methamphetamine in 14 individual zip lock bags, marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia on Fuqua, according to the sheriff’s office.
She was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), endangering the welfare of a minor, two counts of possession of controlled substance (opiates, drug unspecified), prescription controlled substance not in its proper container, trafficking in marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Fuqua was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
According to online records, Fuqua has been arrested at least seven times since 2013 on drug trafficking, drug possession, burglary, and theft charges in Ohio, Daviess and Christian counties.
