Hardin Co. man flees into woods after shooting in Hart Co.

Additional details regarding a shooting incident in Hart County have been released by Kentucky State Police.

As K105 reported Wednesday morning, a shooting occurred Tuesday night at approximately 8:30, as Kentucky State Police and the Hart County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on L&N Turnpike Road at the intersection of Waterloo Road, approximately a quarter mile north of Love’s Travel Stop and about a mile west of Horse Cave.

When police arrived, the suspect, later determined to be 30-year-old Nicholas Noyes, of Cecilia, had fled into a wooded area, according to Kentucky State Police. Law enforcement established a perimeter, and after a brief standoff Noyes surrendered to authorities.

There were no injuries reported.

Noyes was lodged in the Hart County Jail where he was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer.
