A teenager has been killed and two others injured in a crash in Simpson County.
Kentucky State Police, at the request of the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the single-vehicle crash in the 1700 block of Kummer Road, about five miles southwest of Franklin, Tuesday evening at approximately 6:30.
The investigation showed that a 2001 Infiniti, being driven by 18-year-old Jordan Klumpp, of Portland, Tennessee, was traveling on Kummer Road when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, according to Kentucky State Police. The vehicle then left the roadway.
The vehicle’s front seat passenger, 19-year-old Alexander Woestman, of Franklin, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Simpson County Coroner’s Office.
Klumpp and another passenger were transported to The Franklin Medical Center.
The accident investigation is being led by KSP Det. Bo Hubbard.
