A grisly discovery has been made in Robertson County.
Wednesday afternoon at approximately 12:30, Kentucky State Police responded to a report of a deceased female at a home on Brierly Ridge Road near Mt. Olivet. Upon arriving at the residence, troopers found a dismembered woman behind the home.
According to the arrest citation, as reported by FOX19.com, the victim’s head, arms and legs had been removed from the body. Additionally, police found body parts and organs inside a mattress adjacent to the woman’s body.
Inside the residence, troopers located what appeared to be body parts in a (warm) pot in the oven.
Troopers entered the home after 32-year-old Torilena M. Fields, of Mt. Olivet, who was covered in blood, refused to exit the residence. She was arrested and charged with obstructing governmental operations, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse. Additional charges are pending, state police said.
She was lodged in the Bourbon County Detention Center. The suspect’s mugshot has not yet been made available.
