A Leitchfield residence has been damaged by a fire.
The Leitchfield Fire and Police Departments, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and EMS responded to Nancye Drive on the report of a fire Saturday afternoon at approximately 3:25.
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found smoke coming from the front of the home. Leitchfield Fire Chief Tim Duvall entered the residence and found a fire in the living room area and quickly extinguished the flames.
Firefighters conducted an overhaul (ensuring no hot spots remained), and cleared the home of smoke.
Duvall said the fire likely started in a multi-outlet surge protector.
No injuries were reported and firefighters cleared the scene at 4:15 p.m.
