A teenager has been charged with killing the mother of his infant and an unidentified man in Bourbon County.
Kentucky State Police said a man and woman were discovered deceased on Wednesday at a residence on Big Stoner Road, approximately 10 miles southeast of Paris.
A short time later, a male suspect was arrested near the Rowan-Carter County line.
The deceased female has been identified as 20-year-old Dixie Brainard, whose father, Daniel Brainard, spoke to WLEX.com and confirmed his daughter was one of the victims.
The double-murder suspect, 19-year-old Christopher Taulbee, is the father of Brainard’s four-month-old baby, Kayce, according to Daniel Brainard.
The grieving father, calling the incident “… domestic violence at its worst,” encouraged young women who may be in an unhealthy or abusive relationship to reach out for help.
“If you need help don’t be scared to ask your parents for it; a friend, a co-worker. Whoever it may be because this was domestic violence at its worst. And it was jealousy, and it was rage and undisciplined children,” he told WLEX.com.
Taulbee is lodged in the Bourbon County Detention Center.
