The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman was found dead Friday night on I-64.
The body of 24-year-old Brianna Perry, of Lexington, was discovered deceased near the 26-mile-marker of I-64 at approximately 9:40 p.m., according to the Shelby County Coroner’s Office. Her body was in the roadway after she “exited (a) vehicle while it was traveling down the road.”
No cause of death of death has been released, as the investigation is ongoing by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and Shelby County Coroner’s Office.
The body was transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
No other information has been released.
