The arrest citation for a Leitchfield man charged with stabbing a woman reveals new details regarding the incident.

As K105 reported on Wednesday morning, Leitchfield police, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and EMS were dispatched Tuesday night at 11:40 to the report of a female in her 30s being stabbed on Wilson Drive in Leitchfield in a domestic violence incident.

Upon arriving at the residence, police said the victim had “serious lacerations to her arms and face,” the citation states.

The citation says that further investigation showed that the suspect, 32-year-old Nathaniel M. Hardin, “stabbed the victim at least one time in the face during the assault with a serrated kitchen knife.”

Hardin, who was taken into custody at the residence without incident, admitted during questioning that he retrieved a knife from the kitchen before reentering the living room and “stabbing the victim due to an ongoing argument.”

The victim was transported by EMS to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center (OHTLMC).

Hardin had superficial wounds on his hands and was transported to OHTLMC by the Leitchfield Police Department before being lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center. He was charged with first-degree assault (domestic violence), a class B felony punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison.
