
Police are asking for assistance after a man was found shot to death in a vehicle.
On Sunday afternoon at approximately 3:00, Kentucky State Police was requested to investigate by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office after a male was found deceased in a vehicle on Richardson Road in McKee.
State police said the deceased male, 40-year-old James D. Carmack, of Irvine (Estill Co.), “sustained a fatal gunshot wound inflicted by an unknown individual who fled the scene before law enforcement’s arrival.”
An autopsy was performed at the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort.
