Grayson County High School saw three entries finish in the top two of their respective events at Monday’s region track meet held in Bowling Green.

Senior Houston Brooks won the regional championship in the 3200m dash by setting a new school record with a time of 9:34.

Brooks, who recently signed with Centre College, wasn’t done there as he also set a new personal record of 4:24 while finishing second in the 1600m.

Additionally, Amelia Hayes continued her strong career on the pole vault circuit with another runner-up finish.

Brooks and Hayes will both advance to the KHSAA State Championship on May 31 at the University of Kentucky.
