A man has been jailed in Ohio County on drug trafficking and other charges.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office said deputies conducted a traffic stop on Friday night at the intersection of Hwy 69 and Oakwood Drive and made contact with the driver, 68-year-old George A. Rumage, of Whitesville.
During a search, police located a considerable number of unidentified pills, three cellphones, a firearm, and a large sum of cash.
Rumage was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (drug unspecified), prescription controlled substance not in its proper container, possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), and failure to wear a seat belt.
He was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
