Ronald Earl “Ronnie” Blackard, 70, of Windyville passed away May 21, 2025 at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
The Edmonson County native was a 1972 graduate of Edmonson County High School, an auto mechanic for 30 years at Sears Auto Center, a member of Bear Creek Volunteer Fire Dept., a member of Edmonson County Rescue Squad and a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Jess Earl Blackard and Della Grace Ray Blackard. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnny and Tula Ray.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Holly Springs Cemetery. Visitation will take place 2:00-7:00 PM Saturday and after 11:00 AM Sunday.
Surviving are a sister, Carole Dilley (Danny) of Palm Coast FL; a niece, Valerie Dilley Jones (Clint) and her children, Rhiannon, Christopher and Lola Grace; a nephew, Christopher Dilley (Carrie) and his children, Kristin and Skyler; numerous Blackard cousins in Tennessee and Virginia and numerous Ray cousins in Kentucky.
