
An Elizabethtown man has died in a fiery crash.
The accident happened on Tuesday afternoon at approximately 4:45 on Joe Prather Highway (Hwy 313), according to The News-Enterprise.
The two-vehicle crash occurred when a Chevrolet Tahoe, being driven by 65-year-old Vernon B. Aleshire Jr., was turning from South Boundary Road onto Joe Prather Highway when he pulled into the path of a Nissan 350Z, being driven by 58-year-old Gary D. Foreman Jr., of Radcliff.
The Tahoe flipped and caught fire.
An off-duty Radcliff police officer drove upon the scene as he traveled home following his shift and tried to extinguish the fire. The Radcliff Fire Department was dispatched to the scene as well.
Aleshire was pronounced deceased at the scene. Foreman was transported to Baptist Health Hardin.
The investigation into the crash continues and is being led by the Radcliff PD.
