Herbert Decker, age 90, of Millwood, KY, passed away Saturday, (June 07, 2025) at Bluegrass Assisted Living in Elizabethtown, KY.
He was born on November 26, 1934 in Breckinridge County, KY, the son of the late Leslie and Mallie Geary Decker.
He was a mechanic who enjoyed working on cars and lawn mowers, traveling, and was known to never say no to a good bowl of ice cream. He was a member of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Edgley (Brett) of Fort Valley, Georgia; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Decker; and a brother, Harrison Decker. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Pansy Payton Decker Lunsford; his second wife, Sue Tomes; a daughter, Debbie Yates; a son, Wayne Decker; two brothers, George & Roosevelt Decker; and six sisters, Ora Travis, Mary Mudd, Mildred Nash, Aline Cummings, Alice Decker & Sarah Stinson.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, (June 13, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
