A Hardin County woman has admitted she tried to smother her child with a pillow.
The incident happened Saturday night on University Drive in Radcliff when 27-year-old Brooke Elizabethtown Ann Corner was observed trying to suffocate her child with a pillow, according to a report by The News-Enterprise.
Corner told police her child was screaming and “out of control,” the Elizabethtown newspaper reports, as she admitted to holding a pillow over her son’s face.
A witness told authorities that Corner held the pillow over the child’s face for between one and two minutes, and that she had to be physically stopped from suffocating the child.
She was charged with first-degree strangulation (domestic violence) and first-degree criminal abuse of a child and lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond.
