Flags at half-staff on Friday to honor interment of 2 soldiers killed on active duty, 1 from Louisville

Gov. Andy Beshear has ordered flags at all state buildings lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Friday in honor of a U.S. Army soldier from Louisville and a Marine from Clarksville, Tennessee, being interred in Kentucky.

U.S. Army Pfc. Tyler T. Ray, 34, of Louisville, died on Saturday, May 24, while serving on active duty, according to the governor’s office. Ray was assigned to Company C, 2nd Battalion, 504th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

He will have a private service.

U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Joshua Guzman-Henao, 23, of Clarksville, Tennessee, died Monday, May 26, while serving on active duty, the governor’s office said. Guzman-Henao was stationed at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

Funeral services for Guzman-Henao will take place at the Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville on Friday, with interment to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
