A woman has been charged in the death of a Richmond woman in a DUI crash.

The Berea Police Department arrested 48-year-old Elizabeth Fox, of Jackson County, and charged her with vehicular homicide and DUI in the death of 27-year-old Victoria A. McQueary, of Richmond, according to media reports.

The arrest comes on the heels of a crash where Fox is accused of running a red light at 90 miles per hour at the intersection of Richmond Road and the Berea Bypass on the morning of April 9. Fox, driving a Ford Ranger, struck McQueary’s vehicle.

She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Fox displayed a strong odor of alcohol and initially recorded a .172 blood alcohol content, according to WLEX.com. Seventy minutes after the crash a second blood draw was taken where the suspect had a .133 blood alcohol content.
