An armed man has been shot after he “made threats at officers” in Murray.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to an officer-involved shooting on Monday evening at approximately 11:50 after being requested by the Murray Police Department.
The state police investigation showed that Murray police received a 911 call “reporting an out-of-control male with a weapon” at a residence on Brooklyn Drive. When officers arrived, the suspect “made threats at officers,” according to state police.
One officer shot the suspect, 23-year-old Eric W. Saxton, of Murray. He was transported to a local hospital before being transferred to another hospital with non-life threatening injuries, state police said.
No other injuries were reported.
