Grayson County High School’s Jack Logsdon has announced his commitment to play college basketball at WKU.

Logsdon was officially offered by the Hilltoppers last week, and the school had coaches in attendance at all four of his games this past weekend in Lexington.

“He’s really matured as far as a leader, talking on the floor, gotten his body stronger, and he’s gotten stronger,” Grayson County head coach Travis Johnston said. “At his size at 6’6, he can play the two, three, with the way he handles the ball. He needs to put a little bit more weight on, obviously, like everybody does in college. They’re getting a playmaker and somebody who’s still getting better and only a junior.”

Logsdon led the Cougars in scoring last season by averaging 21.0 points and 6.8 rebounds.

The rising junior had a monster postseason by adding 135 points across five games to help lead Grayson County to the region championship game for the first time since 2009.

With those marks, Logsdon became the first Cougar basketball player to be recognized as all-state since his head coach, Travis Johnston (2009, 2010).

He has already become the second leading scorer in program history and will enter the new year just 550 away from passing Johnston as the all-time leader.

Western Kentucky ranks 18th all-time in wins in college basketball history and is currently coached by Hank Plona, who will be entering his second season on the Hill in 2025/26.
