An elderly man has died in a crash in Barren County.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the accident on Monday afternoon at 3:00 on Edmonton Road and Veterans Outer Loop, on the far east end of Glasgow.
State police said the investigation showed that a 2017 Nissan Rogue, being driven south on Veterans Outer Loop by 82-year-old James Deichmueller, of North Carolina, “failed to yield to a traffic control device” at the intersection and struck a Chevrolet Silverado, being driven by 51-year-old Charles Davis, of Glasgow, that was traveling west on Edmonton Road.
Deichmueller was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is ongoing and is being led by KSP Det. Bo Hubbard.
