
A pilot has survived a helicopter crash in Hancock County.
The crash happened Wednesday morning at approximately 10:45 when the pilot of a agricultural helicopter flew into power lines while crop dusting off Hwy 144 between Patesville and Pellville, in southeast Hancock County.
The pilot, Brandon Lanham, who crawled out of the wreckage under his own power, was transported to an Owensboro hospital by a relative, according to media reports. He was treated for a broken leg and broken foot. He also had multiple contusions.
Over 3,600 customers lost power due to the incident.
According to FlightSafety.org, the helicopter involved in the incident was a Robinson R44 Raven II.
The FAA is leading the investigation.
