
A man convicted of rape and sexual abuse has been sentenced to decades in prison.
Anthony McDowell, 46, of Springfield, was recently convicted in a three-day trial in Washington County of first-degree rape and three counts of first-degree sexual abuse, according to Kentucky State Police. He was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
The investigation into McDowell began on June 13, 2022, and was led by state police.
He was formally sentenced on June 25.
