A young father has been arrested after his three-month-old baby was found to be suffering from multiple brain injuries.
According to the Bowling Green Police Department, on June 26, 22-year-old Nicolas M. Valliant, of Bowling Green, and his wife took their three-month-old son to an emergency room with an arm injury. Due to the nature of the infant’s injuries, though, the child was transported to a Nashville hospital where, according to police, “doctors discovered multiple near-fatal brain injuries.”
The investigation resulted in Valliant’s arrest on Tuesday. He was charged with first-degree criminal abuse (victim under the age of 12) and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
