A male juvenile has been arrested for shooting and killing a 63-year-old man.
The shooting happened on Monday afternoon at approximately 2:00 at a residence in the 1900 block of Middle Fork of Maces Creek Road in Viper in Perry County, according to media reports, when a 16-year-old boy shot 63-year-old Wallace Cornett, of Viper, with a shotgun at close range.
The juvenile was charged with murder.
A motive for the shooting has not been established.
The victim’s body was transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
