
A missing elderly woman with dementia has been found deceased in Daviess County.
Lola Davis, 89, of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, went missing from her home on Monday morning between 7:30 and 9:00. A Silver Alert was issued by Indiana State Police.
Officials in Indiana utilized ground and air assets, as well as over 100 volunteers, in the wide-ranging search for Davis.
Davis, though, was found by Owensboro police deceased in her vehicle several hours after she was reported missing, Daviess County Coroner Jeff Jones told WFIE.com. Her cause of death is currently unknown. Exactly where Davis was found has not been released.
Mt. Vernon, Indiana, is located approximately 56 miles west of Owensboro.
