A female juvenile has died in a rollover crash in McLean County.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the accident Wednesday night at approximately 8:30 on Hwy 81, about four miles north of Calhoun.
State police said the investigation showed 18-year-old Leland Thompson, of Calhoun, was traveling south on Hwy 81 in a 2003 Toyota Corolla when the vehicle exited the roadway. Thompson overcorrected, sending the car back across both lanes of traffic and off the roadway where the Toyota hit an embankment and rolled over.
Thompson and three juveniles were transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
A 15-year-old juvenile was transported to Norton Children’s Hospital where she later died.
The KSP investigation is ongoing.
