A Grayson County man who posted thousands of photos of local women and girls on a porn site and was later charged with distributing, promoting and possessing child porn, has been indicted by a grand jury.
Zackery Robinson, 30, Caneyville, was indicted by a Grayson County Grand Jury on July 11 on seven counts of promoting a minor in a sex performance (victim under the age of 16), five counts of distributing matter portraying a sex performance by a minor (victim under the age of 12), five counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor (victim under the age of 12), and tampering with physical evidence.
He was served with the indictment warrant on Tuesday night at the Grayson County Detention Center by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, according to court documents.
Robinson’s arraignment, which is open to the public, is scheduled for July 22 at 11:00 a.m. in 46th Judicial Chief Circuit Court Judge Bruce Butler’s courtroom at the Grayson County Judicial Center.
(An arraignment is the defendant’s initial court appearance and consists of the defendant’s charges being formally read, the defendant being advised of his rights, followed by the defendant entering a plea.)
Initially, the Grayson County Attorney’s Office was handling the case, but it has since been turned over to the office of Grayson County Commonwealth Attorney Rick Hardin.
The victim’s advocate from the Grayson County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, Jessica Williams, will be present at the arraignment to answer questions victims may have regarding the ongoing case.
Case history
The photos included pictures culled mostly from Facebook pages, but some pictures were taken from other social media sites.
After being confronted online about the photos, Robinson posted the following statement (since deleted) on his Facebook page (unedited by K105):
“Okay I’m getting something out there I did something when I was young list access to an yes photos of people females I know ss put on a porn site and I’ve been trying to get access to delete and have contacted the site to get deleted and to all that involved I’m going be sending you messages and apologizing b3cause I was young and stupid and I’m sorry”
The subterfuge that Robinson committed the acts “when (he) was young” failed to succeed in gaining sympathy and/or understanding, though, as many of the photos were posted by the victims on their Facebook pages in the previous month, and in some cases, as few as two weeks prior to Robinson’s activities being discovered.
Robinson was initially charged on Monday night, May 5 with 27 counts of second-degree stalking, a class A misdemeanor. The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police, though, initiated a further investigation into Robinson’s activities, which resulted in the suspect being charged on May 7 with 17 child-porn related felonies, plus a tampering with physical evidence count (the charges he was indicted on earlier this month).
Robinson is being held in the Grayson County Detention Center on a $1 million cash bond.
