An elderly driver has died after crossing the center line between Elizabethtown and Bardstown.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the two-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon at approximately 3:00 near the intersection of Boston Road (US 62) and Bennetts Lane, about seven miles west of Bardstown.
State police said the investigation showed that 77-year-old Laura Gilpin, of Bardstown, was driving a 2019 KIA west on Boston Road when she crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 2010 Dodge Avenger, being driven by 26-year-old Jasmine Simpson, of Lebanon Junction.
Gilpin was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
Simpson and a juvenile passenger were transported to University of Louisville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
