A 15-year-old boy is accused of fatally shooting a 15-year-old girl in northern Kentucky.
The shooting occurred in the early morning hours of Monday in the 3700 block of Autumn Road in Elsmere, in Kenton County, when an unidentified 15-year-old boy shot and killed 15-year-old Tristan P. Smith.
Smith was shot multiple times, according to a report by FOX19.com, and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Elsmere Police Chief Russ Wood told the television station that a 15-year-old boy is in custody and has been charged with murder (domestic violence) and tampering with physical evidence.
Police continue to search for the murder weapon.
Prosecutors will decide at a later date on whether to charge the accused as an adult or juvenile.
