A driver has been arrested following a DUI crash on Beaver Dam Road (Hwy 62).
Caneyville Fire Department member Jacob Crume rolled up on the crash in the 17000 block of Beaver Dam Road while responding to a medical assist call at approximately 2:10 Thursday morning. Crume notified Central Dispatch of the crash, as Grayson County Deputy Joel Baker and EMS responded to the scene.
Upon arriving, Baker found that an eastbound Ford Ranger, being driven by 51-year-old Heather Sandlin, of Bee Spring, crossed the westbound lane and left the roadway. The vehicle traveled off the road for about 100 feet before crossing both lanes, leaving the road again and rolling over as the Ford came to rest on its wheels in a tree line.
Sandlin, who was uninjured, was arrested and charged with DUI.
She was transported by Baker to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center for medical clearance and a blood draw. Sandlin was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
