Multiple agencies will participate in a first responder training exercise at the Grayson Co. Health Department (GCHD).

The Leitchfield Police Department, Grayson Co. Sheriff’s Office, EMS, Grayson Co. Emergency Management (GCEM), Leitchfield Fire Department, Grayson Co. Detenion Center, and GCHD will take part in the training exercise Thursday beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The exercise will impact three roads around the health department: South Clinton Street, East White Oak Street and South Heyser Drive. These roads “may be impassable for brief parts of the morning,” according to GCEM.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area “so this exercise can be conducted as safely as possible,” GCEM said.

The exercise is anticipated to last between 90 minutes and two hours.
