A man has died in a lawn mower accident.
The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon at approximately 2:50 on Hwy 7 in the Kite community in Knott County.
Kentucky State Police said its investigation showed that 64-year-old Thomas J. Johnson, of Kite, lost control of the lawn mower, causing it to travel over an embankment where the mower overturned, trapping Johnson underneath.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Knott Co. Coroner’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
