A body has been found near a western Kentucky elementary school.
Kentucky State Police said detectives responded Thursday afternoon at approximately 1:00 to North Livingston Elementary School in Livingston County after a deceased male was found “in a grassy area” near the school.
The decedent, state police said, is not a school employee or student.
The circumstances surrounding the death are still under investigation, according to police.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
Police added that further details will be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
