An Owensboro man has been arrested on three child porn charges.
The Owensboro Police Department said its Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested 62-year-old Robert Kent Cannon and charged him with two counts of use of a minor in a sex performance (victim younger than 16) and procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means.
Following Cannon’s arrest, he was interviewed by police who then obtained and executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home in the 4000 block Bent Tree Drive.
“The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed after a forensic analysis of the collected evidence is completed,” police said.
Cannon was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash bond.
