U.S. Marshals Service arrests fugitive in Leitchfield wanted on multiple counts of rape, child molestation

A fugitive from Louisiana wanted on multiple counts of rape and child molestation has been arrested in Leitchfield.

The U.S. Marshals Service arrested 45-year-old Juan Chavez-Trevizo, who was living at 317 Cave Mill Road, last night at approximately 10:20, according to the arrest citation.

The suspect, who was in the U.S. illegally, was wanted out of Concordia Parish, Louisiana, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. Chavez-Trevizo, according to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, was being sought on three counts of second-degree rape, two counts of molestation of a child under the age of 13, four counts of molestation of a child with controlled supervision of the victim, and indecent behavior with the child under the age of 13.

As K105 reported Thursday morning, multiple federal law enforcement personnel were initially on Cave Mill Court on Wednesday evening, according to several witnesses, before moving operations to 317 Cave Mill Road at about 9:45 p.m. where unmarked vehicles briefly blocked the roadway as agents arrested Chavez-Trevizo.

The suspect was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center as he awaits extradition to Louisiana.
