A motorcyclist has been killed in a two-vehicle crash in Taylor County.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the accident Friday morning at approximately 7:50 at the intersection of Lone Valley Road and Robin Road, about one mile south of Campbellsville.
State police said its investigation showed that 23-year-old Wesley Burton, of Campbellsville, was traveling south on Lone Valley Road in a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado when he attempted to turn left onto Robin Road.
“Due to limited visibility created by a sharp curve at the intersection,” state police said, Burton failed to see a northbound 2024 Yamaha motorcycle, being driven by 32-year-old James Austin, of Campbellsville.
“The vehicles collided in a head-on manner on Lone Valley Road,” according to state police.
Austin was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Taylor County Coroner’s. Burton was not injured.
