
Two men have been charged in the shooting of a woman “multiple” times in eastern Kentucky.
The incident happened on Thursday night at approximately 8:30 on Hwy 30 in Jackson in Breathitt County.
Kentucky State Police said troopers, upon arriving at the scene, “discovered a female victim who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.”
The victim was airlifted to University of Kentucky Medical Center where she’s listed in stable condition.
State police said the investigation showed that an unidentified male approached the residence and opened fire, striking the woman multiple times.
Further investigation led police to arrest 24-year-old Christopher Roberts, of Booneville, and 21-year-old Travis Watson, of Beattyville, and charge each with attempted murder.
The suspects were lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail.
