A small child was severely burned in a house fire in northern Kentucky.
The fire happened on Tuesday morning on Fifth Avenue in Dayton in Campbell County.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found dense smoke coming from the home, as a father and his three children were still inside, Dayton-Bellevue Fire Chief Brent Schafer told FOX19.com.
The father, Marshall Kilgore, then ran outside and handed over two of his kids to firefighters before reentering the home and rescuing his three-year-old child, who Kilgore said is in the autism spectrum.
The three-year-old suffered severe burns and was transported to a burn center in Dayton, Ohio.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
