A small plane made an emergency landing on Tuesday evening near Fordsville.

The Fordsville Fire Department said the Cessna 150 lost an engine and made a “safe controlled landing” in a large field off Hardinsburg Road (Hwy 261).

The only occupant of the aircraft was not injured.

The Cessna 150 is a two-seat, single-engine plane popular as a trainer aircraft. Over 23,000 were produced between 1959 and 1977.
