Authorities are still looking for the man who robbed Eastview Food Mart at gunpoint, as investigators have released surveillance video showing the suspect and his “unusual gait.”
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect entered the store through the front door armed with a handgun and carrying a black backpack. The suspect demanded cash from the store clerks before exiting the business with an undetermined amount of money.
The suspect fled on foot, running east.
“Surveillance footage (which can be seen below) also appears to show the suspect has an unusual gait, when fleeing pursuant to the robbery,” the sheriff’s office said, noting an obvious limp as the suspect runs.
The suspect is described as a white male, at least six feet tall and with a large build.
At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black ski mask, a black sweatshirt worn inside out, black pants, and black shoes.
The sheriff’s office in mid-July released photos of the suspect.
“Investigators have already conducted numerous interviews based on tips provided by the public,” the sheriff’s office said, “and are hopeful that additional information will help identify the suspect.
“This was a dangerous crime, and we are determined to identify and arrest the person responsible. We urge anyone who may recognize this individual or have information about this robbery to come forward,” Lt. Col. David Lee said.
Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact Hardin County Sheriff’s Office Det. Cook at 270-765-5133 or by email at acook@hardincountyky.gov. Callers may remain anonymous.
