A woman who committed an armed robbery at Little Caesars in Elizabethtown last year has been charged with arson after setting clothes on fire at an Elizabethtown business.

The latest incident occurred on Thursday afternoon at approximately 3:45 when 35-year-old Shelli L. Davis, of Louisville, entered Once Upon a Child consignment store at 1609 North Dixie Avenue.

When Davis entered the store, she “began lighting clothes on fire,” the store manager told police, according to a report by The News-Enterprise. She also attempted to steal items as she fled the store.

Davis was arrested by Elizabethtown police and charged with first-degree arson, second-degree criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking. She was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond.

In July 2023, Davis entered Little Caesars at 1512 North Dixie Avenue armed with a knife and demanded cash. She fled the scene on foot but Davis was arrested about 15 minutes after the robbery.

Police then discovered that Davis tried to rob the Dollar General store adjacent to Little Caesars.

In that case, she was charged with first-degree robbery.

Only days prior to the Little Caesars robbery, Davis was jailed on a public intoxication charge, according to online records.
