Sharp-eyed Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins spotted and collared a Caneyville woman wanted for absconding from parole.

Chaffins, on Tuesday morning at approximately 7:15, was patrolling on Shrewsbury Road when he spotted 42-year-old Katrina Holderman walking along the side of the road.

“I recognized her as potentially having a warrant,” Chaffins told K105.

When Chaffins made contact with Holderman, he confirmed the Edmonson County warrant.

Holderman was arrested and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center before being transferred to the Hart County Jail where she’s being held on a $7,500 cash bond.

The warrant arose after Holderman was convicted in Edmonson County in January 2022 for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections, and absconded from parole.

As K105 previously reported, Holderman’s conviction in Edmonson County came after she was found with a trafficking amount of methamphetamine — she was originally charged with trafficking in meth — and drug paraphernalia in June 2021 while passed out in a vehicle with another person on Alford Road.

Holderman is on parole until November 2028.
