A would-be burglar has been shot and killed in Monroe County.
The shooting occurred Monday night at approximately 9:0 on Sugar Creek Road, approximately eight miles west of Tompkinsville.
The Kentucky State Police investigation revealed that 50-year-old Scott Eudy, of Cave City, arrived at the residence and broke into the home. Once inside, the occupant confronted and shot Eudy.
Eudy was transported to Monroe County Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased by the Monroe County Coroner’s Office.
